How To: Invite Someone to your Tree

One of the strong points of Geni is the ability to collaborate with your close relatives very easily. Today, I’m going to show you how to invite your family to work on your tree.
First, find the profile of the person you want to invite. Then, enter their email address in the field on their profile page, and press invite.
Next, an email will be sent to that person. When they receive it, it will look something like this:
When the click the “View Our Tree” button, they’ll be sent to a decision page that looks like this:
Once they click “Yes,” they’ll be added right to the tree. It’s as easy as that.

I know a person that is a relative but dont know where they fit into my tree. i invite him from my child to fill in my tree with their branch of my tree. He put his name in my branch.How i can deleted?
Why do only certain people on my tree show with an email box to allow an invite to be sent? I added new people to my tree, and cannot invite them to access Geni
It would be very useful to be able invite people , not only throw email, but also throw facebook account, and other social networks account (tweeter, odnoklassniki, vkontakte )
Be cause there we often find real people who are ours unknown family members.
I think we should be able to invite people to our tree, even without them being in our family. Another way is to ask them to join Geni, and the ask for collaberation. This should give
them access to our tree. I would like a person to see my tree, even though they are a very distant cousin.
The man did not respond to an invitation to Geni, because He changed e-mail. Can I re-invite him? Can I change my e-mail to a new one?
Hans, when I'm logged into Geni, if I click on the Geni logo in the upper left, it takes me to my HOME page. On the right hand side, I see my immediate family, with a place to fill in email addresses for each. Believe me - Geni WANTS you to provide email addresses for as many people as you are willing to give them! More potential customers, ye ken. If you don't see it there, then you could instead click on "Family Tree" (also in the top left area), select "Lists" - it will show your immediate family first, select your daughter's name, then click on "Edit Profile" over in the middle right area - and on the next screen you will see a place to put in an email address. I'm 99% certain that doing so will have Geni automatically tell you they are sending an Invitation to that person.
What if you are trying to add a child? I want my daugther to have access to Geni but I don't see a way to add her email address as described here. Or maybe I did already but I can't tell because I can't see if there is one associated with her accouint.

The gal is a cousin far removed. I don't know her family, so I can't add them to my tree. That's why I need her. :-)
Cheryl Spano, if you know that person is a cousin, why can't you add the direct relatives missing in your tree that make you cousins, to your tree in Geni, THEN invite the cousin?
My round about way to invite this relative to my family tree was to randomly add her to a person on my tree with her same maiden name. I added her email, then of course GENI lets me invite her now that she's ON the tree (even though very incorrectly). She can come on now and find and correct her place on the family tree. Geeze, Louise. If GENI is interested in improving their site, this might be a good place to start.
I'm having the same issue.
I found a cousin that wants me to invite her to my Geni tree. She obviously is not on the tree so I can't send her an invite via the above method. I wish her to have full access, not limited.
The only way I can see to do it, is to randomly add her to the tree, then once she's in, we can correct it.
Does Geni support read these comments? I'm sure we are not the only ones with this issue. Come on Geni, give us a link via "Invite" to invite relatives who are NOT on our tree.

Ok but what if they are not in GENI and I don't even know if they are related to me, I want to invite someone to get there help in connecting use.
