I cannot change the status of deceased person.

My mother Oili Kupari died two weeks ago. I really would like to change her status to deceased. I have been searching how can it be done, but I cannot find any kind of way to do it. I've been checking help-part, but I 've found only similar questoins, not an answer. How can the status be changed?

Ok did what you said Monica, and it all worked as you said, but the status on the profile has not changed, but if I try to report it again it says it is already reported/  So when should I expect the status to change to deceased?

Check Answer

If the person has not yet claimed their account, you may use the "Edit Profile" link on their profile page to update that information.

Otherwise, if they have claimed their profile, you may simply navigate to their profile page, click "Actions" and select "Report." Choose "Deceased" from the drop down and please provide a brief comment. Lastly, click "Submit."
