posted this on August 2, 2012, 11:12 AM

  • For a limited time, all users will be able to approve a merge request for free. Please read our blog for more information.
  • We made some improvements to project tags. You can now click on a tag to view all projects that have that tag.
  • Added hovercards to profiles in relationship paths
  • Removed profiles with "living" as the first name from Tree Matches
  • In the Merge Center, profiles are now sortable by name and manager

  • Reduced the width of the black band on deceased profiles in search results
  • Fixed location tagger for events in a person's Timeline
  • Fixed the incorrect people counts in Event pages
  • Fixed a bug when trying to post a link as a document
  • Fixed advanced options in the Family List
  • Fixed the display for long names in the immediate family module photo view
  • Fixed bug which caused collection to be cleared from a document after a profile was added to the document

They can only accept a merge request on profiles they have permission to edit. If they are seeing the upgrade message, then most likely it is a profile they do not have permission to edit. We added a Pro icon next to any merges that they cannot act on.

Is it true that they can accept/complete ONLY "blue pluses" in tree view (own family tree)? Are there any restrictions - to how far relatives they can accept merges?

Like I posted my question here:

Which ones they can complete and which ones only accept? Which filters they shall use in their Merge Centre? All Basic Users are currently replying that only thing they can see is Geni Pro Purchase proposal!?
