GEDCOM is a standard file format used to save, transfer, and transport genealogical information. Exporting a GEDCOM file will allow you to save your Geni family tree to your own computer. Below is a step-by-step guide to exporting your Blood Tree. You may export each Tree in your Forest individually from your Forest page.
Geni Pro Members may export their Forest GEDCOM for up to 100,000 profiles with one simple click. To be come a Pro Member you may simply visit the Pro Accounts page.

My computer crashed and I seem to have lost most of my Geni.com tree. Is there any way to recover it?
I am a pro-user. My "family ties deluxe 6" used to be able to accept the gedcom file I exported from geni. But now I can not import the gedcom file I export from geni.com to the same "family ties deluxe 6". What am I missing?
There were several that the volume did not work.
i dont have the same page lay out. i had to click on the 'family tree' drop down and then click on 'share your tree'
