When I enter dates, I dont use slash, just a space like 2 12 1921, and then Geni writes it: 2/12/1921, which is fine for me :-)

I can't add dates, because the system doesn't let me add a slash "/" in the dates field. When I try, I get a "&". It's like the dates field assumes I'm using a foreign keyboard or something. 

Now it´s been over a week since we started to complain abouth this.

Does Geni read this or is it just us. Do they know there´s a problem? Has they given any answers during this time.

Is it possible to get a list of all the people I have put in during this time that didn´t get their birth or death dates right.

Same here - can't add or change not just birthdates, but any dates.  My Internet Explorer has not undergone any recent changes so my assumption is that the issue lies on Geni's end.  Hopefully they'll resolve it soon.  It's beyond frustrating.

If it helps anyone....I have problems with birthdates etc. using Internet Explorer, I switched temporarily to Google Chrome and most of it works well.  You can enter dates in the Profile or via edit, but you can't add a birth date and birth order in one shot.....

Has anyone heard anything from Geni about this problem???

CAN enter but have to put in name...save...then pull up full profile and enter...it takes then but is very clumsy process.

Just went back to entering data and cannot enter birth, death, burial, marriage dates using profile either. We're back to square one. Cannot enter dates from edit or profile. Very frustrating.

Yes, can add dates using profile screen, but cannot be done using "edit" on "tombstone". Very inconvenient.

Can add dates now but it is a 2-stage process...enter name but cant enter date at that time....must save name and then call up profile to enter dates....

Dates will then 'take'...but it is a bulky way of doing things...

Can't add dates from "edit" screen. Entering dates on new profiles works OK, but once the person is entered, you can't go back and add or fix dates.

Cannot add any dates while editing. After the initial creation and save, when I go back in to edit, or add any dates, they do not save. I cannot put a marriage date in at all, since it is not an option during the creation of a profile.

Add the / yourself. I have no problem. But I agree. They are taking away good features and after careful consideration, I will not be paying for Geni. They are going backwards instead of making improvements.

The earlier form was much better - why did you change it. Tried différent language settings but it did not help. Tried to get some answers from "geni" people. Have not got any ansers at all yet! Before changing try and inform first. Baah, I am tired.

Same problem - not save for birth or death. 
I am not seeing the "/" or "." separators in the box before entry.
Only dd mm yyyy.

When I write Karjaküla, Harjumaa.
will not be saved or only shows Harjumaa
