I have transferred the DNA results from FTDNA for myself, my mother, two of my cousins and one of my sisters. No problems occurred. My second sister, Unni Fonneland, absolutely impossible to get the DNA over. This - see attachment - never turns up. Is there a bug in the system? Inger-Lise Fonneland

Geni Support Team Hi Inger-Lise. You do not see this option because your sister has claimed her account with her email address. This means that she will need to log in to her account to connect her FTDNA results. Or if she would like for relatives to edit her profile for her, then she can update her profile privacy settings. She can go here https://www.geni.com/account_settings/profile_privacy and check the box "Let my family edit my profile."

Inger-Lise Fonneland Thank for for answering. But there is something I do not quite understand. It is me who administer her DNA-account, and I believed that I administered her Geni account as well, just like I do with my other sister, mother and 2 cousins. She wants me to. I see today that her mobilnumber and her occupation is on her profile. I think she would not like that. I do not know who has made this profile, and why I cannot do the same for her as I can do for my other sister. I am very thankful to hear if there is something I can do with this, and what I can do to be able to transfer her DNA results.

Geni Support Team Your sister accepted an invitation to join the tree back in 2008. Once a relative joins the tree and claims their account with an email address, only they will be able edit their profile unless they update their profile settings.
You may want to ask your sister to login to her account so that she can update her settings to allow you edit it. If she needs assistance logging into the account, she can email us at subscriptions@geni.com .
