GENI OPENS SHOWING DOWNLOADING STORIES AND DOWNLOADING REVISIONS AND WON'T OPEN FAMILY TREE. IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO WORK ON GENI. PLEASE HELP.

  HI, YES I STILL HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM  I CAN NOT WORK ON GENI AT ALL.  JOHN.

  John, please do not use all caps.

  What kind of device are you using? (computer, telephone, ...)

  Do you have that problem on all Geni pages or only on the start page?

  If you look at https://www.geni.com/discussions?discussion_type=followed , does that page load?

     I am useing a computor. nothing opens.  why do you say don't use captals.

  Using all capitals is seen as shouting and it not nice when you are asking for help.

  If your problem is only with Geni, you could try to clear Geni cookies: (http://www.geni.com/login/clear_cookies) and/or logout and login again.

  Do you get any error messages?

  geni only opens if I click on the code you show in your e/mail. is this the best way for me to work or can you improve things for me.

  It could be your home page has so much information that it needs a long time to load. You could try to start from a different page like https://www.geni.com/family-tree or https://www.geni.com/search/advanced

  Hi John, is your home page still not loading after clearing your cookies?

  We lowered the number of generations displayed in your tree to help with the load time. Can you please try viewing your tree again and let us know if you can load it? If not, please let us know what happens (ex: does the spinner just continue to spin? do you get an error?).

  Hi,

      I am still getting downloading stories geni only opens when i click on the address that job sent me. then it's normal so it is still not 100%

  Does your newsfeed eventually load? What about the tree https://www.geni.com/family-tree ? Are you able to open any other page on Geni?

  Hi John, we're trying to understand what is not working for you. Can you perhaps send a screenshot of what you see on your homepage? When you go to https://www.geni.com/home , does the newsfeed eventually load? Are you able to access other pages from there, such as your tree?

  It functions if I use www.geni.com/home so i will stick with that. thanks for your help.
