Terry Jackson (Switzer) In tree view the name box (called node) should have a 'more' option. If you click on that there should be a 'move' option. If you click on that you will create a 'floating node' If you then open the tree with the duplicate node the 'floating node' should appear here as well and you can then drag and drop it onto the duplicate.

Pam Wilson, Curator To add to Terry's comment with a slightly different approach. There are a couple of ways to merge duplicates. It depends upon whether you have permission to edit both of them.
If you do have permission, then do as Terry explained and choose "This is the same person."
If you do not have permission on both profiles, and if the profile that you want to merge with is private, then you will need to contact the profile manager. Usually, if it is a family member in your family group, you can request that the other manager be added to your family group, which will give you permission to edit both profiles and then you can follow Terry's procedure.
Another option, if the profile is for a living person, is to add the same email address to the second profile that is attached to the first; this will confirm that they are the same

Darren Dovanne Pam and Terry, How do we send a merge request?? When ever I click on the profile, I am brought to a window that wants me to upgrade. Don't have an issue with this, but post that I have read lead me to think that upgrading will not solve the issue of merging some profiles. IS there a step by step instruction somewhere?
