how do i different between my step mother and my biological mother ?

hi,

currently my family tree is my step parents family tree and now i want to expend my tree to my biological family in order to do it without losing any information on the current tree i need to have a way to define 2 couples of parents...

please assist.

  Add your biological mother as a ex-wife or partner to your father.  Then edit your profile, select the relationship tab - you'll see a pull down for parents.  There should be an entry where you can select your biological mother and your father.
