Gil Arie Livne Any clue how to pay for only one month and than go back to a free membership? What if I cancel during the first year? Any clue why there is not even one place to find GENI customer service e-mail? A real person who can answer questions? subscription questions.... :((((((

Louise Tucknott agree with you about no place to contact for customer service. I've paid the pro rates, and can't even log in now and here I wait, and wait and get more and more peed off. I'm beginning to think it's just another $$ grab I've fallen into. I'll go back to paper and glue , at least I'll know how to get into it!!!

Gil Arie Livne What if I cancel during the first year? What will happen? How can this be done? who to contact? What about people going on a 14 day trial and have no way to cancel because there is no email to reach customer support?

Monica Cruz If you have started a trial you are either a pro user or a plus user. As a pro or plus user you are able to reach customer service by creating a help ticket. Please be sure that you are logged into your pro or plus account before going to the help section.

Pamela Joan Allen Not being able to make payments limits a lot of people from joining and doesn't seem quite fair, .....

cassiereroni I, too, would like to see a monthly subscription plan. I live on a *very* limited budget and forking over 3, 6 and 1 year plan that *everyone* seems to want is just plain asking to much. Especially for those of us that just can't pay that much upfront. It's very discouraging to find everyplace that you'd like to be a member of you can't be because your ability to pay doesn't concern them in the least.
I realize it may cost more to do monthly subscriptions but, in the end the consumer pays more for that option. It's to bad that companies are more concerned that bigger blocks of money show on the books.
Once again, it only shows that Corporate America is only concerned about the top 40% (not just the 1% in this case) and to hell with those that have contributed the most to our society, ie: those of us that work harder and get paid less.
This is the reason I can't stand Ancestry. They have no problem taking all the work and research I have done, stealing it from me then call it "Proprietary" material and charge me If I want to see my own work!
I am just about ready to give up on doing my family history and helping *anyone* else out when they come to me for the information that I have.
*sigh* forgive my ranting, I'm just really, really discouraged and need to vent somewhere.

Gil Arie Livne Dear Jeannette Martin I think many here agree with your anger and point of view. First they get you to join for free, than they start adding limitation on the family work invested already. I see zero flexibility at Geni, and this way of doing business will not get them far. The reason Apple I-tune is so successful is by offering very low price and maximum flexibility. A flexible weekly or monthly offer is a must.
