There are no possibilities to add Marriage citations at Source tabs on a profile after you have uploaded an document.
I would like to see date of marriage and place of marriage added to Source citations.

I want this too.
Come, on! This is trivial in terms of coding difficulty, if your infrastructure is designed efficiently. Please add "Marital Status" and "Date of Marriage" to the sourceable fields! For the values, true/false would be fine for marital status, and concatenating the dates of marraige would be sufficient for the date of marriage value.
I notice that there is a [Planned] marker on this one, and I would like to pinpoint another problem they should look at too:
The worse thing with the source citations in Geni is that the citation does not cite the values the source gives us, but only refers to the current values on the profile. This means that for example a source citation on a birthday is cited as the current value on the profile and not the value the source actually tells you. When tagging a source there should be an option to enter the cited value as well.
This would make it possible to also show conflicts in sources, for example two sources are showing a different birth date.
Yes!
I agree with Bjorn's comment.
not only this but what if marriage never occurred this separation needs to be fixed big block here.
What's the ETA on this feature?
re: citing sources.
For the existing ability to add Sources to the Basic fields, one actually *can* cite the value shown in the Source document. You just have to 'cite' one fact at a time, placing the value from the document into the "Note:" field of the citation (selecting only the one field to 'cite'), save it, re-select the source document, select the next 'cited' field, add the Note: for that field, save, etc., etc. etc.
It would be simpler to have a 'text value' for each 'citable' field rather than having to repeat two extra clicks for each citation value (save, re-select).
Specific to marriage: one crude work-around I have used is to attach the marriage information as a "note" when citing the 'Gender' field (since the "value" of the Gender field is rarely necessary).
PLEASE ADDRESS THIS ISSUE: How do we edit information wrongly inserted or misspellings or attributions like "wife" instead of "sister" of? My daughter's maiden name is misspelled. My deceased husband is married to his sister, mistakenly, of course.
Gloria Margaret Holzman - I have sent you a Private Message (to to Geni account) about the issues you raise.
In addition to this I would also like marriage bann, marriage bond, marriage contract, marriage licence, and marriage settlement sourceable.
This request was marked as "Planned" 7 years ago!
Maybe it is time to implement it?
