I would like to edit my mother's info (she died a few years ago) but it is owned by someone who is not even really related to us. Daughter in law of my uncle's second wife!! I don't know how this happened but it doesn't look like she has used Geni in a long time.

After Geni staff has handled the report (can take a few days) you will be able to edit the profile.

Geni Support Team Hi Gilbert, we're sorry to hear about your sister's passing. If you do not see the option to add her date of death, then it is likely because she had claimed her account with her email address. Please report her profile as Deceased by clicking on the Actions button at the top right of her profile page and select "Report." In the dropdown, select "Deceased," leave a comment, and submit. Once our customer service team reviews the report, they will be able to assist with unclaiming the account so that you may update it to reflect her passing.
