Paying for Upgrade to Pro Membership

Dear Sir/Madam

Please tell me how I can pay my $71.64 to upgrade from Basic to Pro

membership as offered to me via email.

I tried several times on 2.1.2022 but just kept getting error messages.

In response to your latest gesture of extending the offer for another week, I have now tried twice again and the same result.

Each time Geni response is:  "Unable to add credit card due to the following: Too many credit cards" 

What exactly does that mean? I received that message after presenting the first card today!

I have not changed my address since I first signed up on 14.01.2019 but I have changed my Credit Card.

Is it my UK post code that is causing the difficulty?

Please advise as soon as convenient

  I am trying to upgrade to the geniPro plan and using a debit card which is not being accepted can you please advise. Martin

  I am trying to upgrade to GeniPro plan that offers a special discount  before 9th January. It will not accept my debit card and I do not wish to use Paypal. I keep getting the following error code.

  Unable to add credit card due to the following error: Too many credit cards

  Hi 

  Thank you for resetting system. I have tried again to upgrade however unsuccessful. I get the following notation. By the way I have no problem using this card anywhere. As mentioned it is a debit card. 

  Unable to add credit card due to the following error: number is not a valid credit card number

  Geni accepts the following forms of payment:

  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • American Express
  • Discover
  • PayPal

  Is your debit card one of the above? If it is, we should be able to accept it. You may also want to double check you are entering the number correctly.

  It is a mastercard which I use for payments with overseas transaction and I have not had issues anywhere else.

  May I suggest a solution,. If you have a customer support team that I could call and give my card details then pay over the phone.

  Unfortunately, we do not have telephone support. We looked into the transaction status and this is the message we received:

  "Declined  (Card declined by issuer - Contact card issuer to determine reason.)"

  You may want to contact your bank to find out why.

  Another issue i dont have a credit card at all i wanna pay with Paypal but Geni asks for a credit card anyway. So i cant pay but i want to. Paypal says you really ask for credit card. Can you make it possibble for me to pay US $119.40 plus US $25.07 VAT. I want to add my DNA to search for relatives. Can you help me with that.

  Hi Diederik, we do offer the option to pay with PayPal. Simply check the box next to PayPal and then click the button "Checkout using PayPal." You will then be able to login to your PayPal account to complete the transaction.
