My father was adopted, I just found out.
My DNA matches have my Grandfather in the list.
Are the dna matches matching dna or people in my tree which I now know is wrong?

Hi Gary, your DNA matches are matching DNA. We checked your paternal grandfather's profile and it does not have any DNA results uploaded to it. Can you please clarify where you are seeing this?
My Grandfather died in 1934, my father died on 2000. My father was adopted so his adopted father Wallace Glenn Brown DNA is useless. All I have is my Ancester DNA and my Y-DNA from familytreedna that has matches 600 years old.
All the people in my paternal tree after my Father Howard are NOT my family. I just want to know who Iam. Does Geni accept Y-DNA only? My mother's ancestery wes completed by a professional in the 1960's. What do I do?
You can change the parent relationship between your father and grandfather to "Adoptive." On your father's profile page, click "Edit Profile." Next, select the Relationships tab. From the dropdown for his parents, select "Adoptive" and save.
We accept Y-DNA, mt-DNA, and autosomal DNA results from Family Tree DNA.
Just to clarify, the Y-DNA haplogroup found on your grandfather's profile was propagated from the DNA results you connected to your own account. Once you update the relationship from biological to adoptive, the Y-DNA haplogroup should no longer appear along that branch.
