I have been toying with family trees for a while now and I must say that your site has been the most helpful when it comes to finding similar names for comparisons. the German side has never been an issue or hard to find related persons When it comes to the Chinese side, 2 uncles were sent back to china, as children in 1933 one returned to Jamaica, but another remained in Long Boi Liang with his wife and family - without a doubt with the war lots of the records were destroyed an and over the many years they must have relocated many times - My uncle also passed, and all we have is an English name - and surely he would have adopted a Chinese name, So the plot thickens. On my mothers side my grandmother got married in Sha Tiu Gok, and journeyed to Jamaica - I doubt there would be any close survivors in that area as by now they must have move around alot in the many years. Would DNA testing assist in finding any of these direct relatives or is that all just wishful thinking? if it could help in findind direct relitives - which would you recommend

Yao Liu For one thing, China has over 1 billion people (living). Most Chinese-Indonesians, however, trace back to (southern) Fujian province. Have you sought help from our curator Philip Tan?
