When viewing the family tree a blue circle with a number indicates number of matches (Smart Match, Record Match or Tree match).
Please consider changing color on the dot according to match type. Blue when at least one match is Tree match, or brown when at least one match is Record match, or green when only Smart matches.
This would make it much easier to see which profiles to prioritize when large portions of the tree has matches.
When you're addressing profiles to prioritize, it is better to use the Merge Center. https://www.geni.com/list/matches
From there it will break out the colors and you can sort and filter the list in various ways. You can also focus the list on a particular match type.

I am very familiar with the lists, and regular check them for merge issues.
After I have merged two profiles I view the result in the family tree for a last visual check. And then it would be great to show the different match types. I will usually return to the match list if I only see Record or Smart Matches, but directly look into any found tree match.
