Charts directly in Geni

Hi

I would like to print out large scale charts of my tree. I sense that this is a wish from a lot of other users and genealogy interested people in general. I base my assumption on the number of websites and tools available for doing exactly this. Gramps, TreeSeek, Charting Companion for Geni, and printing services like www.ancestryprinting.com not to mention the hard-copy paper templates you can buy and fill out yourself.

But in a digital world where I as many other have the data directly in a system like Geni, then it seems strange that I shall be an expert in data management, IT and software to produce the charts that I want.

In Geni today my option is to show my family tree and then press the print button with the layout I want. Unfortunately when ever I reach 10 pages or more in my view, then it crashes the print. Also Geni does not support nice charts like a descendants fan chart.

I am requesting that Geni puts some effort into generating nice looking graphs/posters. I understand from previous posts that TreeSeek once had a direct login option with your Geni credentials. This would have been nice, since they would have direct access to the Geni data. But it seems that this is an obsolete setup. Maybe triggered by FamilySearch buying TreeSeek.

My situation has been solved for now by using Charting Companion for Geni, but the layout and user interface of this tool is not as smooth as if Geni had it embedded directly.

Do other users want this as well?
