Starting yesterday, when I tried to open a tree from inside a profile or from a search, geni opens only the html tree, not the flash tree. This happens BOTH in chrome and firefox. The html tree does have a settings icon which, when clicked, has an option to go to the flash tree . . . but this, too does not work: After a second of trying to initiate the flash tree, it defaults back to the html tree.
Another oddity: I have a few other windows already open for reference that were open before this problem began. They were opened in flash, and continue to operate well in flash. In other words, as long as the window is open, I can use the flash tree perfectly well (i.e. merges, edits, adding new relatives all work with no problems and the tree stays in flash after refresh after the edit). But I closed one of these flash tabs/windows and tried to reopen it, and it permanently reopens only in html.
I have fully updated flash on both chrome and firefox, AND I have updated flash. No effect. Still cannot get into flash view from HTML, but existing flash window restarted just fine.
What do I do?
