The UK ancestors given in a 1935 Rhode Island Kenyon genealogy was proven incorrect by articles in TAG a dozen years ago. However the curator refuses to make corrections. In fact the tree also includes very early ancestry of Lord Kenyon's line (which DNA evidence indicates an MRCA with most other Kenyons in the US and UK was about 2000 years ago! It seems some just want to add as many people as ancestors no matter what. I seethe when I get a message from GENi, such as one saying my 13th great grandfather has been added to the tree. With stuff like this, GENi is doing more harm than good! Currently, the colonial RI Kenyon lines have not been able to identify their ancestors "across the pond". I'm working with several researcher in the UK to sort out the various Kenyon lines in the UK. Any suggestions on how to clean up an incorrect tree when the curator will not budge?
