I haven't visited this site for a long time, so I was completely surprised when my tree only goes as far back as my grandfather. I had traced my paternal side as far back as the late 1300's.
Is this a result of the HTML5 view I'm now looking at, or is something more than that amiss?
It may be the view as your tree goes back pretty far, beyond your grandfather (at least on the Coady line).
Well, all I know is that I used to be able to drag/scroll all the way through the tree. Now, if I search for a specific name I get one generation up and down from that person and that's all.
