I have an idea that might be helpful, especially to Jewish users:
Status badges to be added in the corner of profile pics.
1. Holocaust badge: a yellow star of David to be added upon choice to a profile of a holocaust victim.
2. Cohen badge: badge of hands

as a symbol of Cohen, will be add upon choice to a person from a Cohen (high priest) family, and automatically to all of his paternal ancestors.
3. Levi badge: a Hoshen

There can probably be more cultural badges. I was only thinking of symbols relevant to my heritage...
