I removed all my information, piece by piece, from my profile and those of my immediate family, because I came upon my WHOLE profile, including my middle name, date of birth and place of birth, when searching for my name on a search engine. This is not meant to happen, according to Geni, and is clearly dangerous in terms of facilitating identity fraud. I then closed my profile - however I find now that my information has NOT been deleted, despite what I did, and I had to create a new profile in order to try to get help! This appears to be the only way to get help, which is crazy. I am furious about this whole situation.
