Introducing missing generation

In my tree I have made a mistake introducing a generation.  As a result Ann Smith nee Mansell, married to John Charles Smith is shown to be linked through her parents; this link should be removed, leaving just a link only through her husband.  Could you help with this please?

  Hey Philip, happy to fix this but let me try to walk you through it first as this is something that you can accomplish.  Teaching moment :)

  In tree view on profile John Charles Smith, click the "more" button on the profile and select "move".  This will create a floating profile of John on the right side of the page.  Drag that profile of John onto the duplicate profile of John.  It will prompt you for the relationship and choose that they are the same person.  This will merge the two profiles.  Here is a step-through: https://help.geni.com/hc/en-us/articles/229703267

  There will be a conflict on John now, as he has four parents, click the yellow triangle and resolve the conflict, merging the duplicate parents.  You'll now be left with a "2x cycle" where the wife, Ann Mansell, is listed as his wife and aunt.  But because she's connected within the same tree, you can now split the connection.

  Edit the profile of Ann Mansell and select the relationship tab.  Scroll down to the bottom and you should be able to put a check in the option to remove the parents and click remove.  This should remove the cycle and all should be well.

  1-Hey! I did a mistake about the birth of my parents. How can I change this?

  2- I found a profile from the family of my grandma here, how can I put my profile with this informations too?

  Andressa,

  1. You should be able to edit their profiles and fix any birth information.

  2. I've merged your profiles into the existing ones of your grandparents.  So now you've connected into that other tree from your 2nd cousin.

  3. Your name doesn't go into the title field.  That is causing a weird duplication of name.  A title is such like Captain, Dr., etc.

  4. Once you fix 3, you shouldn't need to fill in Display Name.  So you have the name in these profiles three times as much as you need.
