Looks like it's impossible to import GED file without creating duplicates, impossible to create a new tree or delete existing one. Too many difficuties to continue with geni. The search is good, but working on the tree itself is a pain.

Job Waterreus Importing a GEDCOM will in most cases create very many duplicates, using SmartCopy (see https://www.geni.com/projects/SmartCopy/18783) to add only profiles that are not already on Geni will in most cases be less work.
It may be possible to do GEDCOM exports from Geni and use those to exclude existing Geni profiles for a GEDCOM upload, but that will need external programs to process those GEDCOM files.
You can try to reverse a GEDCOM import from your GEDCOM page if it created too many duplicates. Be careful NOT to delete any profiles with other managers without first getting their approval.
Geni has a steep learning curve, but there is a lot of help information available. See https://www.geni.com/projects/Nederlandse-handleiding-GENI-voor-Dummies/13048 (English version), bottom of the page for some links
