I am trying to merge a wealth of information from my database with my free Geni account.
Very happy to help Geni grow and become somewhat more reliable than it is today. I may want to buy a PRO subscription when I can get something usefull out of Geni.
However, even with very helpful support, the GEDCOM import of my data is a hell. Especially finding which matching profiles Geni suggests are there and discovering in the majority of cases that they are invalid, is frustrating to the bone to an extend that even with my persevearance, I tend to give up.
Would it be possible to have better insight in apparent matches if large sets of GEDCOM are attempted to be uploaded. I strongly believe the lack of it is seriously withholding exactly the people that want to donate tons of information, of submitting them to GENI.
