Can't continue with gedcom import due to being unable to access tree matches

I don't want to pay the price for geni pro, however I am unable to finish importing a gedcom file due to tree matches which I can't resolve without geni pro, is there anyway for me to get around this or will I need to get a geni pro user to do the matches for me?   There is no need to get a Pro membership.

  The import will stop when a possible match is found and will continue for that branch if the profiles are merged.

  As a basic user you can only use the Geni search screen to access profiles that you yourself manage or that are managed by a collaborator. You can use an external search engine to find public profiles on Geni however (or use a second session where you do not logon to Geni to use that session to search)

  When the profiles are the same you should decide what to do for that branch. If you merge the profiles the import for that branch will continue and probably find another duplicate. So importing that branch is only useful if your GEDCOM has profiles that are missing in Geni or have better info than the existing Geni profiles.

  You must be fast enough because when another user does the merge the import for that branch will continue.

  When profiles are merged that will in most cases create a tree conflict (like an extra pair of parents for a profile) and data conflicts (different field values for a profile field)

  You can only resolve conflicts for profiles that you or a collaborator manages, but  users that manage a profile that have conflicts can resolve those conflicts.

  You really should do some checks on your GEDCOM before importing it in Geni, like making sure all profiles have a least one estimated date (so Geni can determine if they should be public or private) and there are no consistency problems (like children born before their parents where born, or after they died) and names should be in proper case. If your GEDCOM has that kind of problems you could undo the import, correct it and do a new import.

  PLEASE: never import the same GEDCOM multiple times without undoing the previous import (otherwise you will create duplicates for every profile in your GEDCOM)

  Also: please collaborate with other users that work in the same part of the Geni World Tree, so that you can use the Geni search to access most profiles without hitting the pay wall.
