How do I remove the father from my 2nd great grandfather? When it actually was his grandfather that he was raised by. Was given mother's surname at birth and father unknown.

Geni Support Team Hi Lori, can you post the link for your second great grandfather so we can walk you through the steps?

Geni Support Team Thanks. To clarify, is Henry Frick supposed to be Preston Sewell Frick's grandfather? Does this mean Preston's mother was Henry's daughter? If yes, then you will want to add his mother as a child of Henry first. Then click the pencil icon on Preston's node to open the edit box. Select the Relationships tab. In the dropdown for Parents, select the correct parent for Preston and save.

Lori Means Yes, Susanna Frick is the daughter of Henry Frick and Margaret Rebecca Doll Frick. I added her to Henry. When I went to Preston Frick and opened the edit box, and in the select the relationships tab in the drop box I do not see just her name . All I see is Henry Frick & Unknown. or Henry Frick and Margaret Rebecca Doll or John Frick & Susanna Frick ( Wenig). No just Susanna Frick. So now it reads that John Frick & Susanna Wenig Frick are his parents. Can you please fix this??? On your end?

Geni Support Team Hi Lori, thanks. It looks like Preston was accidentally added as the son of John Frick & Susanna Frick (Wenig). We used the "Move Profile" tool to move Preston to his correct place in the tree and disconnected him from the incorrect parents. Can you please check the tree and verify it looks correct?

Lori Means Yes, everything looks correct for Preston. If I have this issue in the future where can I find the "move Profile"? Thank you for your help.

Geni Support Team In the tree view, click on a node to reveal the side panel. Click on "More" and select "Move Profile."
