I have problems merging the profiles of my grandparents, who happened to be first cousins. They appear twice, in different branches of the tree. I didn t have problems merging other duplicate profiles, using the tool "move profile", to drag one profile onto its duplicate, to make them merge. But when it comes to my grandparents, the tool just doesn t work. Anybody had a similar problem? and any suggestions as to how to deal with this problem?

Geni Support Team Hi Victor, can you explain in more detail what happened when you used the "move profile" tool? Can you post a link to the profile?
When people are related in the tree in multiple ways (such as when first cousins marry), we create a "Cycle." After merging the duplicates, you should have seen a "x2" at the bottom left corner of the node. Clicking on it will take to you to the person's other position in the tree. Job Waterreus You could try to press and hold the control key and move the profile with the mouse.
