I keep getting blue notification badges about Smart Matches that refer to MyHeritage, where I don't have a premium membership. These matches are usually to my own family tree on MyHeritage, and when they're not I can't see the data anyway, so I find those matches to be basically annoying and useless. Is there any way to avoid getting Smart Match notification badges?

Geni Support Team Hi Jorge, if you are using the same email address on Geni and MyHeritage, then you shouldn't see Smart Matches to your own trees.
Note some collections on MyHeritage are free so it may be beneficial to continue receiving match notifications. Otherwise, if you do not want to upgrade to a MyHeritage data subscription, then you can simply ignore these MyHeritage Smart Matches and Record Matches when they appear in the tree.
You can also choose to stop email notifications for Smart Matches and Record Matches in your Account Settings https://www.geni.com/account_settings/notifications
