what parameters does geni use for determining if profile should be private or public, when I mark someone dead and let geni decide ?

  For instance someone is born 1914 and I mark them dead with no death date and allow geni to chose if profile is private or public. Geni choses private.

  Geni  will make profile born in the last 100 years private by default (so birth in or after 1873 will be created private by default in 2023)

  in your example the difference between 1873 and 2023 is 150 years

  In my example the difference is 109 years, so why did geni mark them private?   If it is 100 years, then geni should not mark anyone private if they were born before 1923. So I don't understand what is going on.

  I think you made a mistake writing 100 years, it seems geni is going by 150 years
