Profile1 Sally Brown managed by Tom Clark
Profile2 Sally A Brown managed by Mary Smith
If I contact Mary Smith (Profile2) regarding the duplicate profile (Profile1) managed by Tom Clark, they cannot be merged if Mary is not part of Tom's tree (sorry not sure of exact terminology)? So how does this get accomplished? I am a Basic User so cannot do anything.

If you want to merge private profiles (born less then 150 years ago) and the manager does not respond you can try to contact another manager in the family group of that user and see if he/she can do the merge (curators are not allowed to merge those profiles unless they are in the family group).
If a manager agrees to a merge but does not know how to do it, he/she can ask a curator to assist and do it for them.
