Hello everyone, four days ago I received an e-mail from geni.com that another user had updated the profile of a relative that I had created. When I go to the other user's profile and search for my relative in the family tree, I can't find him. Does it take so long for geni.com to synchronize the database or is there something I haven't understood?

Job Waterreus The easiest way is just to use the search screen to go to the profile of your relative (or if the mail has a profile link use that).
Not sure why you try to find it from that users profile. If that user or you has an unconnected tree you won't find it that way.
If you cannot find it using the search screen or mail You can also look at the activity of that user and find it that way (but that can be hard if it is a very active user)
If you are not able to find it you can download all your activity (see https://www.geni.com/account_settings/download_activity) and use that to search for it.

Timon Becker Thank you for your reply, Job Waterreus. I forgot to mention in my inquiry that I don't have much experience with geni.com yet.
I went through the other user's profile because I assumed that he was related to me when he edited my relative's data. In other words, I expected to see my relative in his family tree. But this is obviously not the case.

Job Waterreus You may want to look at some of the help info available.
