There are so many people who import GEDCOMs with hundreds, even thousands of profiles, creating a lot of merge and source checking work. Very often this is also results from badly researched MyHeritage copies, and cousins imports identical trees containing several errors with them.
There should at least be some limitation to GEDCOM sizes and quality control. Familysearch has this option where you can import your gedcom, but you need to approve every profile manually and check them towards existing profiles. This would at least stop people with the enormous 10K GEDCOMs.
