Hi! I previously was a Pro user and was quite engaged with the global Geni family tree. Due to financial constraints, it is not possible for me to pay for Geni at this time. I attempted to create a ticket to ask my question, but must upgrade to Pro in order to submit the ticket, thus my request here. Is anyone aware of programs either within the genealogy community or through Geni.com that would allow me to utilize the benefits of Pro at least temporarily until I am able to pay for the membership again? While a Pro user I was quite active but had to stop. Now I have some space to be active again. Thank you!

Geni Support Team Hi Amy, you may want to check out our Geni Public Access program.
The Geni Public Access program is designed to allow certain public facilities, such as public libraries, to provide the benefits of Geni Pro free of charge to their patrons. If you have a public library near you that offers public computer access, you may want to ask them to sign up for the program. It is free for the library. Simply send them this link so they can submit an application https://www.geni.com/corp/geni-public-access-program/

Karianne (Grønningsæter) Fog Heen Also I can recommend Familysearch as an alternative, which is completely free and open to anyone. I often develop trees simultaneously on Geni and Familysearch to make use of the FS source funcionality.
