Profile pictures

After uploading the profile picture now says "error" and wont display.

Also how do we change profile pictures?

  You are right; after I identified a single face on a single photo, it shows "error" to me too, while it was displaying OK before (although not framed correctly).

  I have found a work around: you open the full profile of the person, select the Media tab, and there you see the incriminated picture. Instead of deleting it, you can simply select it as "profile picture", or you can de-identify the people on the picture by clicking on the picture with Identify. The picture will then go back to normal mode, but with a bad framing / cropping aspect however, while we wait for Geni to fix it.

  Please note that anytime you upload a photo for someone and tag it-it gets listed under that person's profile as one of their photos. If it is the first photo to be uploaded and tagged with their name-it will become the profile photo. You may update their profile photo once you have uploaded more photos and tagged them with their name. To do so, simply view their photos and use the "Set Profile Photo" button.
  
  Here is what you can do:

  • Login and locate their Profile Page
  • Click on their Profile photo
  • Locate the photo in question
  • Use the "Set Profile Photo", located the photo and you are all set!

  Please note that these photos will then appear in the following places:
  
  

  • Under 'My Albums' (as they have been uploaded by you)
  • Under 'Photos of ....(whomever) as tagged photos for that person
  • They may also appear within an Event if that information is included
