Keep getting an error message when I try to add more family members to one persons tree. Still able to add to all the others. Is there a limit with each line or something?

Pam Wilson, Curator Lee, how are you trying to add the family members? I don't know of a limit. Explain what kind of form you were using for entry--are you entering from Profile view (add Immediate Family) or tree view (using the yellow arrows), for example?

Pamela Guy Will not let me add people, no yellow arrows are there and cannot add parents

David Allen Bertenthal Today I added a member and now can not add his family (wife, children). The place i used to add siblings, children on bottom of edit screen is not there anymore.

Kaija-Liisa Koovit Same thing, cannot add parents to people that I manage. Anything beyond the 5th generation back seemes to be blocked.

David Allen Bertenthal I had to join Geni Pro to get the additional add to show on the individual box.

Dawn Kasper I cannot add a spouse or parents to my 4th great grandafther. When attempted clicking on "Father" or "Mother" or via Yellow Arrows a pop up appears that says "Try Geni Pro for free to add unlimited family!"

Dawn Kasper It's been 3 days and I am still having a problem and no answer from Geni.
I can no longer add 5th generation ancestors on my tree.
This is a new development since the update - I have other branches extending all the way back into the 100s

Lucas Campbell Mergan I'm also having problems adding people many generations back. I'm trying to add a parent to my fourth great grandmother, but it just doesn't work. Usually when I hover over a person in my tree a little window comes up with birth date etc. and at the bottom a line with "Add: family|parent|sibling|spouse|child", but with my public profiles that bottom line doesn't appear. I thought making the profile private might resolve the problem but I can't seem to find the check box to make a profile public or private. Any idea how I can make a profile private or how I can add more ancestors?

Lucas Campbell Mergan I tried changing the options so I use the yellow arrows instead of the profile view, and now when I click on an add parent arrow the Geni Pro window comes up. I think they've made it so that you have to pay to add more distant relatives. I find that quite a shame as I thought Geni was a really good website for building a proper family tree without having to pay. I might try to find another website now where I can add relatives as far back as I want without having to pay.

M G I'm stuck in the same place also - got the "pay" pop up window. I clicked "no thanks" and can't add on an parents to a profile I added and that I manage.

William Charles Martin I've got the same issues, I've sent a help request, no reply; in fact, it says my request has not even been assigned yet. If they are forcing membership now to continue the tree, I really think its a shame as they say you can add an unlimited amout of family members. What happened to truth in advertising?

Elizabeth Koper Er is zeker iets verandert bij Geni! Krijg nu ineens ERROR als ik familie wil toevoegen;en of je dan lid wilt worden,nee dat wil ik niet,jammer het ging ondanks de rare fouten in dit programma aardig maar ze zijn nu het spoor bijster,als het zo moet ;copier ik alles en ruim het op .
