What is my password?

A family member submitted my name to geni; when I went to your site I was asked to log in. It seems as if I am SUPPOSED to already have a password. I don't understand. I would like to see what's going on on your site, but can't get in.

  What ! You don't even answer questions?? You wait until someone else has the same problem and then hope that they track down the answer??

  Why don't you wait for more than 2 min for someone to answer it before declaring that we don't answer questions. 

  Under the login, it has a link "Don't know your password?"

  That will take you here: https://www.geni.com/login/send_password

  Enter your e-mail and it will send you whatever password is on file.

  Just read that back.. sorry, didn't mean to be so gruff. :-)  This is Community Help, so it's just other users helping each other out.  The "Me Too!" is just to help filter the most asked questions to the top and get faster resolution if it remains an issue.

  Sorry, Jeff, I'm not much of a techno-head and I felt I was being sent all over the unknown world just to get into this new space.I thought 'help' meant help, and, well, I guess it did, but not the kind that a support team provides. I'll try that link you sent and see if that helps. Thanks!

  I've tried everyhing I can to find out how to get a password, but it keeps sending me back to the log in page.  please help.  thanks
