My cousin's original email address that was used when she was added to the tree was hacked into and she wants me to remove it from her contact information and add her new email address. I have added her new email address but am unable to remove the original email address. We are VERY worried that the hacker will get into the family tree and destroy information. Please advise.

I need to remove an email address entered under the wrong person (Deceased). How?
I have a similar email problem: my cousin changed jobs, does not have access to the previous email anymore. I'd like to update to his gmail, but I can't.
Max, if your cousin knows the password associated with his account he can log in with out needing to have access to his email. Once logged in, he can add a new address and remove old.
Seth, you should be able to edit the profile to remove the address and mark as deceased.
The curator (above) says that once logged in, I can "remove old" email address. How? I'm logged in and I cannot remove the obsolete and bothersome emil address from my page or from my profile. This issue needs to be properly addressed.
I also cannot remove a old E-mail address from a person in my tree. He had to change his E-mail address as his old one was stolen and used for sending spam. I do not have the ability to edit any person once he joins the tree.

When editing my profile, http://www.geni.com/profile/edit_basics, there is a blue delete next to my email addresses (if there is more than one email added) - clicking on it removes the email associated with the profile.
Bob, add your relative as a new person in the tree - a brother of the old profile - and send him a new invite. I'm trying to update emails for a few family members too but its not working in Firefox 6.0.2 It flashes a screen then just sits there and the status bar shows geni is trying to load google analytics but it never completes to I refresh the page and lose my change. Any idea why this is happening?
A user can change their Email address by logging in with the old Email address, the user should then click on their NAME, select ACCOUNT SETTINGS, then EMAIL & PASSWORDS. enter the new Email address and mark it as primary.
Once the new address is confirmed delete the old address if you want.
If the user cannot login this will not work.
Geni needs to change their lost password system and remove the dependance on a Email address to change a password.
My cousin's email address changed long ago, so she never gets updates to add marriage info of her sons or their children. I keep seeing others being told they can edit profiles. Does this mean their own profiles or family members profiles, because I cannot edit her email address - even though I am the one who built her basic profile. Is it only allowed for paid accounts? I don't understand how so many have this issue and it's not properly explained point blank, without all this back and forth. All very frustrating, so forgive me for not getting it.
Hi, my fathers e-mail changed and he does not know his password so he can not log in anyhow and he can not change his password or e-mail. All the newsletters and requets of the new password is going on the wrong e-mail and we do not know what to do. If Geni can send me (his daughter) his password on my e-mail so he can log in...othervise our thee is lost. Please help me.
