The little box "official" (not private) that pops up whenever I want to edit one of my relatives, does not appear on my own profile.
I want to make my prifle open to everyone and let them follow my Tree... particulary since all the people that I have entered has got this feature :) They might think I am hiding something....

Public and private are for unclaimed profiles. The privacy of claimed profiles can be configured in your account settings. On a side note, it's not common practice to make living profiles of family members public. It can be considered an invasion of their privacy, since it would be open to anyone that can do an internet search.
