I cannot enter a location that does not already exist in the pre-defined list when updating a record. For example: If I try to enter "Alt Danzig, Russia" for the location of a marriage, it is not allowed. Instead the location "Danzigbacken, 02580 Siuntio, Finland" is substituted and I cannot enter the correct location manually. This problem also exists when I try to update a record with the birth and death location.

Geni Support Team If your location does not pre-populate, not to worry. You may simply click on the "Edit Location Details" to fully expand that feature. This enables users to manually correct that information, as well as include any additional information they would like.
