In the "edit" mode, when I want to add a birthday for someone whose birthday has not yet been recorded, I don't get a birthday line to use.

I'm tryng to input the birthdays for folks on the tree whose birthdates have not yet been added, but the edit mode doesn't appear to offer that option.  Am I overlooking something?
