It is understood that Geni has stopped non PRO members completing merges or initiating merges, but surely they should be able to reject a bad merge. It seems to be a bug that they can't.

Alice May de la Cova (Stocker) Somehow one of the ancestors on my tree got merged with a similarly named person on another person's tree. I don't know how this happened, but when I try to delete the ancestor by removing the relationship between him and his parents, GENI warns me that it will split the tree and doesn't complete the action. But splitting the tree is what I need to do. Otherwise, I have a whole group of unrelated people attached to my tree. How can this be fixed? I don't want to change anyone else's tree, just fix mine. Could one of the GENI curators provide some help with this?

David Prins To get attention from a curator, post the details with links to the problem area at http://www.geni.com/discussions/80793 and explain what you would like fixed

Augusto Javier Patino A tree that only consisted 0f 400 names plus has inflated to over 5000. I wrote a ticket for it but no one has answered. I will not update to Pro if the service in Geni is so slipshod! I have heard negative comments about your site and I refused to agree, but now after what is happening to me, I'm inclined to do so. . .

Juvili Hernandez Monfort (Sorry in adavance for my English, I'm no Eng. native speaker) I have a problem similar to Alice... the person who invited me to Geni was my boyfriend at that time (years ago), but he still appears as my fiance even when we have NO relationship at all since a long time ago, and I just cant remove it from me tree :@ It's so annoying! When I try to do so, the system alert me with that warning message of "it will split the tree", and the "remove" button never comes active. Also, every time he do something to his tree, I got an email -.- for God sake, go and FIX that darn bug! (of course, going to Pro? never!)
Also, guys, you do need a better UI... You make me think a lot for almost every action... Please, read the book "Don't make me think".
