I agreed to connect with my wife's family tree. Now I want to disconnect them

Liivi Murumets If you don't want to include your in-laws in your family group then adjust the default settings here http://www.geni.com/account_settings/family/.
If it is your connection to your wife that you want to remove then add a Pro or a Curator to your family group and tick the box for 'Let my family edit my profile' in http://www.geni.com/account_settings/permissions. Then the connection to her can be removed. If your wife wants to remove her connection to her parents then she can do the same.
