With a large family tree, how many people need to subscribe?

Our family tree has gone over the 100 mark. Really it's only my dad who adds people to the tree, but I'd still like to be able to view it (as would a few other members of my family).

If he buys a subscription, will that be enough - or would all the active members of the family tree need a subscription? (I think we'll look for another way of gathering our family information if the latter is the case - I don't mind paying for a service, but don't want to force other family members into paying or being excluded)

  I would also like to know how many members of a tree need to subscribe before more people can be added to the tree.

  Hello Suzi and Catherine:

  Each family member that is invited to Geni and joins can add up to 100 people as a Basic free member. If one of them adds 100 people and they would like to add more people then they would need to purchase a subscription. They do not need to buy a subscription to view the tree with the information your father has already added and your father does not need to buy a subscription to invite family members to view the tree.

  Re:  "I'd still like to be able to view it (as would a few other members of my family)"  - As stated in "Answer" - nobody needs to pay  to be able to view everyone added by themselves and their family members.

  Catherine -- each person can add 100 profiles -- so if there is much co-operation, this means two people can add 200, three people can add a total of 300, etc.  -- but regardless of how many have joined the tree, each non-paying person(Basic User) can only add 100 profiles (tho  they can add more during a Free Trial, and  they and their family members  will still have access to them even if they cancel).
