I can not even merge duplicate profiles of my myself without having the Pro account?! You must be kidding me!
In fact the whole merging thing is totally pointless now since there is no chance that all the Geni users would ever upgrade to Pro. Currently, even if one person suggests a merge, this will most probably never actually happen since only Pro users can finalize the merges.
Do you guys realize how much Geni has lost it's value because of this change?! There are other ways to earn the profit from this. Current solution is the worst you could have come up with. The main capital of all online companies these days (I worked at Skype for 6 years so I know a few things about this) are the free customers who bring in the traffic. Geni has currently made it totally pointless to be the free user. It's even pointless to be the paid user since you still need input from other people and they are unable to contribute now.
Please re-think this asap as otherwise people will move their data somewhere else.
