I loaded my family tree a couple of years ago. Now Geni has blocked me from it (to monetize). I have been asked to update someone. I'm pretty annoyed I can't access them without paying money, when I never had to do that before. Any suggestions?

Lo Two possible, very different interpretations of what you are saying.
1) If you entered someone's profile, then invited them to join and they did - Default would be only they could edit their profile now.
2) If you failed to log in for a long time, Geni may have decided this was an abandoned Tree and turned it over to someone else. Is this what happened to you? (They say they will not do this anymore, but I have not seen any way to request the undoing of ones that were done. Does anyone know of a way to have it undone?)
If you are the manager - or one of the managers - of the Profile, you should still be able to edit it without paying money - according to Geni's current rules. More info needed for me to give anything in the way of suggestions. GOOD LUCK!
