I originally joined Geni a couple of years ago when it was possible to import a gedcom and as a result I should be managing over 6,000 profiles.
I have recently taken out a Pro registration and when I look at my account I find the following anomalies:
1. When I look at my tree it shows 449 profiles. See http://www.geni.com/family-tree#6000000006270092187e
2. When I look at my map it purports to have access to 1362 profiles but only displays 13 icons (I should add that most of my profiles have at least one location as provided and verified by Legacy's Geo-location database and displayable on Bing maps. This verification process provides a latitude:longitude pair as well as place name, county/state, country).
3. My profile shows that I have 1361 family members, 3432 blood relatives (and my wife a roughly equal number), 6257 added profiles and 6285 managed profiles. See http://www.geni.com/people/Will-Chapman/6000000006270092187
I have two issues:
a) It seems clear to me that there is something wrong with mapping. Apart from the fact that it can only see 1362 of the 6285 profiles I am managing - the majority of which have at least one location - why does it only show 13 place icons?
b) Of more immediate concern though, is why does my tree display less than 10% of the profiles I am managing? And, more to the point, how do I make the bulk of my managed profiles visible so that, I presume, I will get far more potential merges to resolve?
