My father has included incorrect information on my Mother. As they have been divorced many years I feel that the information should be removed. How can it be done?

Tiffany Knox Someone named Bjorn P. Brox is the manager of a family tree that indicates my father as still being married to his ex-wife (Cheryl Hasha) and having two stepdaughters (Holly and Jenny George). Cheryl and my Father were divorced in 1975 afterwhich, she married Ricky George and had the two girls and my Father married my Mother and had my two sisters and myself. My parents are still married. I would appreciate it if this person, Bjorn P. Brox, would correct his information. Thank You

Jeff, Geni Curator Kaye, you should be able to edit your mother's profile unless it has been claimed by her. If it has been claimed, then only she can update it.
Tiffany, I've notified Bjorn of your request.

Sasha Olson My grandfather is listed as deceased! He is mortified! How upsetting. -
Jeff, Geni Curator Sasha, could you provide the name or a link to the profile of your grandfather? Have you tried to contact the manager of that profile to let them know the information is incorrect? Thanks

Alex de Miranda Silva I have listed the same person twice. How can I delete one of them?
-
Jeff, Geni Curator You could delete one or merge them. http://help.geni.com/forums/367927-Merging

C. H.A. Reilley Your entry regarding my Father P/O Hugh William Reilley is significantly wrong. He was a Canadian (NOT an American) and he was born in London Ontario, Canada, (NOT in Detroit, Michigan).
For a full and accurate details please refer to the Memoriam which set up in his honor hughwreilley.blogspot.com

Eldon Clark (Geni volunteer curator) Kaye would you please send your mothers name or a link to your profile. Your mother should not be removed, she should be shown as divorced from your father and any incorrect information corrected.

Jeff, Geni Curator Annette, I've made Kevin aware of your post. It would be great to connect your family into this existing tree so your husband can expand on it.

Elizabeth Mary Ralston i want work how to change an incorrect birthdate of my aunt on my family tree. can anyone please help me out there.
-
bridget gerstner how can i change info -for some reaso it is showing my mother and aunt as step sisters and their father as stepfather
-
Jeff, Geni Curator Bridget, I've merged the duplicates in your tree, so it should look correct now.
Elizabeth, you should be able to edit the profile unless your aunt is a member of Geni. She'll have to log in and update it herself. If she hasn't been on in awhile, I could probably update it for you.

Jeffrey Howard Koval My tree and a cousin's are merged. My maternal grandmother is Rose Sannel Kaplan. She has a sister in law who was Rose Kaplan Cetron. Somehow, they got merged. Rose Sannel has 2 brothers and sisters, and because of this mistake, information about them is wrong. Is there a way I can correct this?
-
Jeff, Geni Curator Jeff, the merge I see there is this one: https://www.geni.com/merge/view?revision_id=71922603260
They appear to be the same person in this view with the exception of the parents. It looks like since then, your grandmother's parents were set to Jacob Sannel & Harriet/Chaya Bossie Kaplan (Chern).
Was it intended that her parents were Hershall (Harry H) Kaplan and Harriet/Chaya Bossie Kaplan (Chern)?
If so, I can easily make that change. If not, please let me know the correct relationships and I'll fix it.

Jeff, Geni Curator I think I got this figured out.
-
Jeffrey Howard Koval Thank you. I think it's corrected. My grandfather Max Kaplan, married Rose Sannel, so she became Rose Kaplan. Max had a sister Rose, who's maiden name was Rose Kaplan. I think that's where the confusion came in. The only other thing from the merge that I see, is that Harriet Kaplan, who would be my aunt, is listed twice.
Thanks for your help.
Jeff

Linda Frances Waller Perry My grandmotherr is listed as my cousin twice removed. Several great aunts are listed as cousins. I'm very disappointed in the accuracy of the records on this site. And looking at all the names above and their problems with the site, now I am more concerned about having my family listing here. I surely would like to have these things corrected. Can I do it myself?
