I am becoming increasingly concerned about complete strangers, not known to me or my large extended family, editing profiles. In several instances, someone named Trevor Scott Jnr had made changes to family profiles managed by Jason Hollar and Matthew Brown (both cousins of mine).
I have worked hard to attract the younger family members to Geni as they all use Facebook, however, of late I am no longer confident in the private nature of our profiles and may start deleting information as some family members have already done.
Geni does not make it easy to report privacy concerns, nor easy to resolve errors made by novice users. One example is that my cousin, Amanda Gore Shim, has been added twice - once as being married to her cousin Ingrid Gore Tingling, and the managers have not been able to correct this embarrassing post.
If money is such an issue, start advertising, but please work harder at maintaining privacy, or you may lose the few users you actually care about your product.
Please fix the problem of complete strangers having access to private data!!!!
