Lo Is hers a claimed profile? Are there other profiles attached to hers? If neither is true, I would think Geni would let you delete her - no?
On the one hand, I can understand wanting to remove her. BUT - once you have changed the relationship to "ex-wife" from "wife" -- an argument could be made that there is no more reason (or rationale) to remove her than, for example, to remove a child you are displeased with. Certainly, if Geni wants to be the complete Tree of the World and all that, exes should stay - yes?

Nimesh Patel No, there arenot be any other profiles attached to hers. I'm not sure why it's giving me that message. I changed her as an ex-wife because I thought that would remove her from my tree but it did not. It is more the principal of my family is not happy seeing her still on our tree and would like her removed. I would sincerely appreciate it if you remove her completely from the tree. Thank you.

Lo Nimesh - I am a lowly Basic Member, so am unable to do anything to help you here, except ask questions and make suggestions. Am surprised you cannot delete, if it is not a claimed Profile and there are no other Profiles attached to it.
Just to be sure -- in Tree View (Standard format) - is there a little "x" upper right side of her box? If so, you should be able to delete her - did you try clicking it - is that when you got the Message you mentioned? Clicking on the "x" in Tree View is how one deletes a Profile. Cutting a profile loose, to float on its own, is a Pro feature, I believe - are you Pro?

Michael Napiorkowski I would like to remove my ex-wife from my family tree. There are no kids and I don't want her profile showing up in connection with my account. She has claimed her profile so I can't delete it. Can someone at Geni.com please remove this connection?
